The Agricultural Industrial Technology Student Association (HIMATIP) of the Faculty of Halal Food Science (FIPHAL) at Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a training and mentoring session on skincare product development on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Classroom B3.02 and the UPT Sartika Laboratory at UNIDA. The event was attended by the Dean of FIPHAL UNIDA, Dr. Erna Puspasari, S.Si., M.Si, and the Head of the TIP Program, Deni Hendarto, S.T., M.Si, and was participated in by high school and vocational school students, who were directly involved in making personal care products such as hair tonic and toner based on natural agricultural ingredients.
In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee expressed her hope that this training would provide tangible benefits for the participants.
“We hope this activity will not only be a new experience for the students but also inspire them to see the great opportunities in processing products based on agricultural produce,” she said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Halal Food Science, Dr. Erna Puspasari, S.Si., M.Si., expressed her appreciation for the training program, noting that in today’s era, agricultural products can be transformed into valuable goods.
“I greatly appreciate HIMATIP’s initiative in organizing this training. Activities like this are very important for providing students with insights into the utilization of agricultural products into value-added products, while also introducing the field of Agricultural Industrial Technology to the younger generation,” she said.
“Through this training, participants are expected to understand how agricultural products can be processed into value-added products with high economic potential, while also fostering an interest in agro-industry-based innovation and entrepreneurship,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Agricultural Industrial Technology (TIP) Program at UNIDA, Deni Hendarto, S.T., M.Si., emphasized the importance of a practical approach in introducing the field of study so that participants can grasp its immense potential and be motivated to pursue further education.
“This training activity serves as a direct introduction to the field of Agricultural Industrial Technology. We hope participants will understand the vast potential of the agroindustry and be inspired to continue their studies in this field,” he concluded.
This training activity is expected to serve as a bridge connecting the world of higher education with high school students, while also highlighting the immense potential of Indonesia’s agroindustry and providing a promising foundation for entrepreneurship among the younger generation.
