Session 2: OBE- and MBKM-Based Curriculum Development Strategies to Enhance Graduate Competitiveness

Bogor, June 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Halal Food Science (FIPHAL) at Djuanda University successfully held a Curriculum Workshop on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This event was organized to evaluate and strengthen the curriculum so that it aligns with scientific advancements, industry needs, and evolving higher education policies.

The workshop was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and educational staff from the Faculty of Halal Food Science. The event was dynamic and interactive, featuring two expert speakers in the field of agricultural technology curriculum development.

In the first session, Dr. Efri Mardawati, S.TP., M.Si., from Padjadjaran University presented on the topic “Strengthening the Structure of the Agricultural Technology Curriculum in Response to Advances in Science, Industry, and Higher Education Standards.” In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of developing a curriculum that is adaptive, relevant, and responsive to global challenges and the needs of the workforce.

Meanwhile, in the second session, Prof. Dr. Ir. Feri Kusnandar from IPB University presented a session titled “Strategies for Developing OBE- and MBKM-Based Curricula to Enhance the Competitiveness of Agricultural Technology Graduates.” He explained the importance of implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and integrating the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program as strategies to produce outstanding, competitive graduates who meet the needs of the

The workshop also featured a dynamic question-and-answer session. Participants took advantage of this opportunity to discuss directly with the speakers a range of topics, from the challenges of curriculum implementation and adjustments to graduate learning outcomes to strategies for strengthening student competencies.

Through this event, the Faculty of Halal Food Science at Djuanda University hopes to develop a curriculum that is more innovative, relevant, and capable of meeting the demands of the modern era, thereby improving the quality of graduates in the fields of food technology and agricultural industrial technology.
