Sabtu, July 4, 2026 – The Faculty of Halal Food Science (FIPHAL) at Djuanda University in Bogor, through the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, held a public lecture titled “Transforming Agroindustrial Human Resource Competencies: Toward a Smart and Globally Competitive Agroindustrial Ecosystem in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” on Saturday, July 8, 2026. The event took place in the Smart Class Room, Building A, Djuanda University, Bogor, and was attended with great enthusiasm by faculty members and students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program.
The public lecture featured Dr. Tri Wahyu Cahyono, S.P., M.Ec.Dev., an academic and expert in agroindustry development, who shared insights on the importance of human resource transformation in the face of digital technology advancements, particularly the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the agroindustry sector.
In his presentation, Dr. Tri Wahyu Cahyono, S.P., M.Ec.Dev., explained that advancements in AI have transformed how the agroindustry manages production processes, distribution, and data-driven decision-making. Therefore, college graduates are not only required to possess technical skills in the field of agroindustry but must also master digital competencies, data analysis, innovation, and the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technological changes.
He also emphasized that the development of a smart agro-industrial ecosystem requires collaboration among universities, industry, the government, and the community. This synergy serves as a crucial foundation for creating innovations capable of enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian agro-industrial products in the global market.
In addition to the presentation of the material, the event was conducted interactively through discussion and Q&A sessions. The students took advantage of this opportunity to delve deeper into the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in supply chain management, production systems, quality control, and strategies for the sustainable development of the food industry.
This public lecture is part of the Faculty of Halal Food Sciences at Djuanda University’s commitment to improving the quality of education by organizing academic activities relevant to industry needs and the latest technological developments.
